Serbia & Montenegro Section

IEEE Serbia & Montenegro Section is the successor of the former IEEE Yugoslav and IEEE Yugoslavia Sections, founded on June 21st, 1971. At that time IEEE Yugoslav section covered the territory of former Yugoslavia. In August 1992 this section friendly split into three sections: IEEE Yugoslavia Section, IEEE Croatia Section and IEEE Slovenia Section. After that date IEEE Yugoslavia Section gathered members from Bosnia & Herzegovina, Macedonia and FR Yugoslavia (Serbia and Montenegro). In February 1997 was formed IEEE Macedonia Section. In 2005 IEEE Bosnia & Herzegovina Section was formed and IEEE Yugoslavia Section changed name into IEEE Serbia & Montenegro Section. S&M Section has eleven chapters, one affinity group and student branches in Belgrade, Niš, Novi Sad and Podgorica.

The EMCS Chapter

EMC Chapter of Serbia & Montenegro Section was founded on April 8th, 2011. There were lucky 13 of us when we came to this idea in 2010, in the year of foundation there were 17, and then … we grew out of teenagers, so our history started. In a small number of members we still have members from various institutions, universities, high-schools, institutes, army, industry, so as student members.
