IEEE EMC Chapter of Serbia and Montenegro
IEEE EMC Chapter
(EMC - 27)

was founded on April 8, 2011.

Chapter chair:
Vesna Javor, Ph.D.

Electromagnetic compatibility is a very important issue, each year gathering more attention of scientists and more dedication of manufacturers and researchers. EMC Society is an umbrella for all electrical engineers trying to understand many aspects of electromagnetic interactions between electrical installations, systems and equipment, humans and products. All interested in this area are welcome as IEEE&EMC Society members. If you are interested in being one of us, take a look at IEEE and EMC Society membership brochures and forms, and join these worldwide communities.

Areas of Interest

Main area of interest is electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) in all its aspects. EMC is defined as the ability of a device, equipment or system to work satisfactorily in its electromagnetic environment without deterioration due to electromagnetic interactions, and not to cause unwanted disturbances to anything in its environment. Areas of interest to EMC society members are: education on EMC, developing standards in this field, measurement techniques and test procedures, research of EMC aspects in electrical systems, installations, equipment and components, studying their susceptibility, immunity and vulnerability, natural and artificial origin of electromagnetic disturbances and their classification, improving protective techniques, developing numerical methods and programs for computation of electromagnetic fields, all scientific, technical, industrial and professional activities that contribute to the knowledge in this area.
